Thinking back over this last couple of weeks it dawned on me that a large percentage of what I heard and read-was simply untrue. In my scientific unverified estimate, 91% of it is what the Bible "false teaching." The media, advertisements, gossip, rumors, accusations, denials. How are we to distinguish truth from lies? Is there such a thing as absolute dependable truth? Answer: YES.

But there is only one place to find it -- the Bible, the Word of God. It is an utterly reliable source, totally without error. In addition, God promises to make sure we get it right by revealing-disclosing what He means! 

God intends that we know Him, not just know about Him. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal to us the realities of God's person and will. It is His job to do so. 1 Cor 2.9-12 says: "No eye has seen....etc."But God has revealed (disclosed) it to us by his Spirit. We have not received the Spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God that we may know / understand what God has freely given us." (V 12) 

And in John 16:13-15 are these words: "He..the Holy Spirit will glorify me, for He will take of mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the father has are mine, therefore, I said that He takes of mine and will disclose it to you. He always does His part. 

Our part: "Be still and know that I am God."
