The Missing "HOW"

"My help comes from the Lord, who made Heaven and earth.."...and He [the Holy Spirit] lives in every believer! Then what is our problem? Answer: we are, God's people. We are igernant of God's plan (the indwelling Christ) and/or unbelieving, full of pride and disobedient. God has done His part...we have not. There is almost no continuous emphasis of the Person and work of the Holy Spirit in the church today. Result: we are not empowered and filled with the Spirit, and therefore have no power to change men's lives, and bear fruit for Him. There is a great deal of information out there about all the 'do's and don'ts'...but the how to live the Christian life...is missing.

So, for the next few weeks I want to write an overview for those of you who have a strong desire to learn how to live as God intends, that is to "abide in Christ," to be filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit, to realize your position and privilege as a child of God, how to walk in the Spirit, and to 'own' the fact [by faith] that you are dead to sin, and alive to God. How to actually be obedient in everything, and to live without pride. HUMILITY is an absolute necessity if we are to be controlled by the Spirit.

Nothing is as important to believers as understanding and living under the control of the (already indwelling) Holy Spirit. This will not happen without spending much daily time with God, reading His Word, praying, and, I believe, reading great books on this subject. Here is a suggested reading list. Start today...and never stop reading! 'Pickel' in God's word, saturate yourself in these great books:

Ephesians.... all of it. Spend a lot of time here.
Gal 6.16 to 26. Spend much time here.
