RECONCILED
God has already done it all; we (who believe in Him) have been reconciled, forgiven, adopted, loved, indwelt by the Holy Spirit; given direct access to Him, having had His righteousness imparted to us, and in short, have been given everything we need for life and godliness." (2 Pet 1.3) Yet, most of us do our daily living as if none of this were true, slogging through the world's muck and golf courses [smile] grimly holding on to our pride, lust, selfishness, and other goodies, hoping (as Major Thomas has eloquently put it) -"to crawl into heaven on our hands and knees, covered with sweat, dust and blisters hoping God will thump us on the back and say "Glad you made it!""
Colossians 1.21 says we were alienated from God...enemies because of your evil behavior, but now He has reconciled you.....and .made peace by His death (V 20). What does 'reconcile' mean? It means "restored to a previous right relationship." An enormous infinite shift from death to life, from alienation to intimate fellowship, from wicked to righteous; from enemies to sons, a shift in destiny from hell to heaven.
And because His death has accomplished reconciliation, God "(can) present us holy in his sight (and He sees everything!) without blemish (no warts) and free from accusation (irreproachable). That passage ends with the statement, "Christ in you the hope of glory.". Amazing isn't it ! It is available to everyone, but sadly only operative in the few who choose to believe Him.
So now..you have a choice!
