We are learning in our study of Dan Stone's book THE REST OF THE GOSPEL that God's method of dealing with our old sin nature..is to kill it! "We died with Christ" when He died, and rose with Him. 

    On page 199 of Andrew Murray's book GOD'S BEST SECRETS is an interesting observation. He says, "Every seed throughout the world teaches the lesson that through death lies the path to beautiful and fruitful life. It was so with the Son of God. He had to pass through death .. before He could rise to heaven and impart His life to His redeemed people. How much more should we .. be most grateful that there is a way open to us .. by which, in the fellowship of Christ and His cross, we can die to this accursed self - which enables us to live in the fellowship and the power of life in a risen Christ." 

    Very few understand this. It is of great importance that we do, since this is God's only plan for us to live the abundant life He promised. It is not difficult, it is a matter of believing what He says, and acting on it. Everyone can choose to do that! God has given every believer the option of that incredible choice! We can choose to let Christ live His life through us, as us. Not helping us live it, but actually living His life in us.
