WILLING WALKERS

In Scripture, there are many references to "walk". It is normal to walk.

We are to walk in all His ways, walk blameless, walk in truth, walk uprightly, walk in the light, walk in obedience to His commands, walk in love, walk in the Spirit. It's simple! It is a matter of faith. It is God doing it in me, by my consent.

Struggles don't stop when we are filled with the Spirit...it is in the midst of struggles and trials that victory occurs. Temptations don't stop...they just don't bear the fruit of sin anymore. Being filled with the Spirit is God's design for us. It is normalcy. It is exhilarating and wonderful, it is a fruitful, exciting, and joyful way to live. And--It's available! Tozer correctly says,"Every man is as full of the Holy Spirit as he wants to be!"

If I try to live the Christian life by my effort and determination, it becomes complex and utterly impossible. But if I by faith, invite the Lord Jesus to direct my life, believing that I have been crucified and raised with Him, and am walking in the light as He is in the light -then the Holy Spirit lives His abundant life in me, in all His resurrection power!!! God's fabulous plan to live His live in me! My part is simply to be willing. "Willing walking" is an expression of faith.

At that point I don't need to be told to pray, and love God, and a myriad other do's and don'ts. That is because God the Holy Spirit is in control now, and He doesn't need them (do and don't). It is normal for Him to keep all the law, and to love and please God.
